Last month, in New Haven and New York, they finished an initial synopsis, met with director David Herskovits, visited the Tracey Towers, and rode the infamous elevator.

This summer they will complete the first draft. Thanks to API/2, Artist Trust, and 4Culture who all support the development and initial presentation of this new opera.
On June 17th, Byron teaches two
composing for taiko workshops at the
Regional Taiko Gathering in Portland, Oregon.
At the end of June, he travels to Xiamen, Shanghai, and Beijing.
