This is one of the photos from the performance. The shadows of dancer Hideo Arai within the sculptures by Koji Ohno are stunning. I wish I could have been there to experience the music and environment.
I’m excited to perform with Christopher on June 29, 2007, in a site-responsive improvised music/sound art concert at the Chapel Performance Space built in 1906. Our performance, called BreathPlay, will explore various sounds from around the Pacific Rim.
I’ll be singing and playing Asian percussion and water. Christopher will play shakuhachi. The venue is warm and resonant. The performance will happen at dusk, so the Seattle sunset will make summer evening shadows amongst our traveling breaths.
